Update: the cheapest Electricity offers in SA in January
South-Australian households who don’t shop around for Electricity could now be paying over $300 more than they have to, according to analysis of government electricity data.
The gap between the cheapest offers in the state and those with no discount now ranges from about $300 to more than $500 for an average 4-person household.
3 Ways to Save:
A typical 4-person household in SA uses 5441kWh of Electricity a year, which would cost $2209 on Origin’s Maximiser plan if you paid all your bills on time and in full.
But if the same household was getting no discount, they could pay more than $2550 a year on standing offers for the same amount of electricity.
That’s over $300 difference – and in the case of some standing offers it’s even more.
The table below shows the three cheapest offers in SA as of January according to government website energymadeeasy.gov.au and demonstrates why it’s so important to shop around for Electricity.
