The must-have apps to help you save at the checkout

Groceries make up such a large chunk of the family budget, so it’s no wonder households are wanting to save at the checkout.

Savvy Shopaholic Jo Munro shared her top shopping apps with the Today Show, to help you slash your grocery bill.

TODAY: What are the benefits of using apps at the supermarket?

JO: Grocery apps give shoppers the ability to create “favourites” lists. You can also share and sync multiple lists with multiple people via the app itself, text or email. Most apps also allow you to sync in real time between web and the phone so you won’t ever forget the shopping list. You can also build by recipe, use budgeting tools and they often come with barcode scanners and voice recognition.
