Revealed: Which supermarket has the most satisfied online customers

A Nine News investigation has revealed which supermarket has the most satisfied online shopping customers, and how to get the most bang for your buck buying groceries online.

Woolworths has taken the crown for having the most satisfied online shopping customers, per Canstar Blue’s online grocery ratings.

The grocery giant was awarded five stars for delivery and pick-up reliability, customer service, deals/specials, and overall customer satisfaction.

Coles scored five stars for delivery and pick-up reliability, customer service, deals/specials, but only four stars for overall satisfaction.

“You can have it either delivered straight to your kitchen bench or pick it up in store or also get it delivered straight to your car boot,” said Martine Alpins from Coles.

There are ways to make the most of your online grocery shop that can save you hundreds. You can use the ‘notes’ section to ask for the freshest possible produce, or deduced meats.

Other tips include checking the catalogue before purchasing, as well as subscribing to supermarket mailing lists for weekly deals. Coles also provides free delivery when you purchase on one of the supermarket’s own credit cards.

Simon Downes from Canstar Blue recommends planning your shop in advance.

“It really helps you to manage your budget easier if you have a shopping list you go onto the website and you simply select the items that you need and want,” he said.
