Telco bargains to bag before EOFY
The offers you should be checking out before June 30
Whether you’re looking to switch up your internet provider, lower your mobile bill, or get more data for your dollars, June is a great time to jump on aend-of-financial-year telco deal.
Right now, there’s several great offers available from both big and small providers, including Vodafone, Optus , and Dodo. So if you’re thinking of a new phone, a better mobile plan, or a move to the NBN, here’s this month’s best deals.
While there are other phone and NBN offers currently available from providers, we’ve just listed the promotions and specials that expire on June 30. Our one exception is the Optus Galaxy deal, which technically ends July 1 (and was too good not to mention here).
June 30 is the cut-off for Vodafone’s free Netflix offer on selected NBN plans. Sign on to Vodafone’s $69, $79, or $99 unlimited data NBN deals on a 24-month contract, and you’ll get a free 12-month Netflix subscription.
To take advantage of this offer, you’ll need to join up by June 30 and redeem your Netflix subscription by August 31, 2018.
Right now, you can save $10 per month on Kogan Internet’s unlimited data Standard Plus Evening Speed NBN plan. The Silver Unlimited plan is normally $68.90 each month, but is discounted to $58.90 for customers signing up by June 30. Although the plan is contract-free, the discount applies to your first 24 months of service.
If you’re looking to bundle your broadband with entertainment options, Foxtel Broadband’s unlimited NBN plans are available with several bonus offers for customers who get on board by June 30.
Depending on your plan, you can save up to $567: you’ll get your first month of Foxtel and NBN service free, plus no iQ3 setup costs, and a free WiFi modem.
The deal is available for the below Entertainment Bundle, Sports Bundle, Sports and Drama Bundle, and Platinum HD Bundle, all of which include unlimited data at Standard Plus Evening Speed.
Ready for a device upgrade? Hit up Optus before July 1, and you can pick up the 64GB Samsung Galaxy S9, plus a 12GB plan, for $69 per month over 24 months. Normally including 10GB of monthly data, this Optus deal comes with a bonus 2GB each month when you sign up online.
If you’d like more storage, you can upgrade to the 256GB model on the same plan for $84 per month. Again, this is on a 24-month contract, but includes 2GB of bonus data each month. Both of these plans also feature unlimited talk and text, plus data-free music, sport and TV streaming.
If you’re happy to commit to a 12-month Dodo Mobile plan, you’ll enjoy double data when you sign up by June 30.
The deal applies to the 4G Regular, 4G Value, and 4G The Lot plans on year-long contracts. So you’ll get a bonus 3GB, 6GB, or 12GB each month for the length of your 12-month plan. All Dodo plans use Optus’ 4G and 3G networks.
Running on the Telstra 4G and 3G networks, Tangerine Telecom is a smaller provider that is offering new customers bonus data for the first six months of service.
Sign up by June 30, and you’ll score an extra 2GB per month on the $19.90 plan, 3GB on the $29.90 and $39.90 plans, and 6GB on the $49.90 option.
Looking for an average data plan with Optus network coverage? Up-and-comer Yomojo is currently offering a 50% off deal on its 4GB prepaid and no-contract plans, cutting prices by half for the first three months of your plan.
Normally $29.90 per 30 days, new customers will pay $14.95 for their initial three months with Yomojo, after which fees will revert back to the original full price. To qualify, you’ll need to sign up by June 30.
Jeenee Mobile is a great provider for anyone wanting to pay it forward, as your plan fees contribute to providing mobile services for Australians living with disabilities. And if you join before June 30, you can save 10% off selected Jeenee month-to-month and 12-month plans (all of which run on the Optus 4G and 3G networks).
The offer applies to ten Jeenee Mobile plans, including the popular $25 Pennywise SIM deal. However, be aware that to claim your discount on the $9.90 Pennywise and $14.90 Pennywise SIM plans, you’ll need to sign up via the WhistleOut website by clicking through below.
